Bacharach MGS-450 Gas Detector

The Bacharach MGS-450 is a rugged diffusion gas detector for machinery rooms and cold stores, adding 3 onboard relays and analogue output to the MGS-400 platform. With Modbus RTU, IP66 protection and plug-and-play sensors, it integrates cleanly with fans, strobes or shutdown systems for EN 378 / F-Gas compliance.

It features an IP66 enclosure for harsh environments and operates down to -40 °C, making it ideal for cold applications.
Compared with the entry MGS-410, the MGS-450 adds three configurable alarm relays plus an analogue output (4–20 mA/voltage) alongside Modbus RTU (RS-485) communications. This lets you drive local audio/visual alarms, start mechanical ventilation, or interface directly with BMS/fire panels without a separate controller.
Sensors are pre-calibrated, plug-and-play modules available in semiconductor, infrared, electrochemical and catalytic bead technologies — covering halogenated refrigerants, CO₂, methane/R290, oxygen, carbon monoxide and ammonia. The detector includes integrated A/V indication and supports Bluetooth app configuration across the MGS-400 family.
