Sensepoint XCD AluminiumThe Honeywell Sensepoint XCD Aluminium is an all-in-one fixed gas detection system that’s capable of monitoring flammable toxic and oxygen gases in atmospheres at risk of explosion. This housing on this version of the Sensepoint XCD is made from aluminium. The detector comes pre-configured and includes 2 programmable alarm relays, 1 programmable fault relay and an industry-standard 4-20mA output and modbus.
Available sensors include oxygen, hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen, nitrogen dioxide (all electrochemical), flammable (catalytics bead sensor), methane, propane and carbon dioxide (all infrared sensors). The system can be fitted in both indoor and outdoor applications such as industrial manufacturing, power plants, waste water facilities, food and beverage production and onshore oil and gas terminals.  A weather-proof cap can be used for harsh conditions.
The Sensepoint XCD Aluminium is modular, and operation of the detector can be modified using the LCD and magnet switches without having to open the unit.  This includes settings such as the scale, range, relay, operation, alarm set point and electronic tag number.  The advantages of this are one-man operation and a reduction in routine maintenance cost and time.
There are three different types of Sensepoint XCD transmitters to use with three different families of sensors. This includes mV, EC and oxygen transmitters and sensors.  Once the sensor is plugged in to the bottom of the transmitter it will automatically configure itself and will auto-recognise the sensor within its sensor family.
