The Sensepoint XCD Stainless Steel fixed gas detection system from Honeywell is suitable for monitoring flammable, toxic and oxygen gas hazards in potentially explosive atmospheres. This device can be used indoors and outdoors giving users flexibility. The LCD and magnet switches can be used to alter sensor operations without the need to open the unit. 
The tri colour backlit display mechanism gives users immediate indication of the status of the device at a glance.
The device can be surface-mounted with an integral mounting plate or to a horizontal or vertical pipe (optional bracket required for this). The device comes with a weatherproof cap allowing it to be used in the harshest of conditions.
Suitable applications of this system includes power plants, waste water facilities, onshore oil and gas terminals, industrial manufacturing facilities, utilities, food and beverage production, refineries and chemical plants, production platforms and exploration and drilling. There are 3 different types of transmitters that can be used with the XCD family of devices including the mV, EC and oxygen. A transmitter can automatically recognise any sensor and it plugs into the bottom of the transmitter configuring itself.
