Drager X-zone 5800 Area Gas DetectorThe Drager X-zone 5800 is a multi-gas area detector for use in various industries and applications. Up to six gases can be measured with the Dräger X-zone® 5800 in conjunction with the Dräger X-am® 5000, 5100, or 5600 gas detectors. The internal pump and continuous power supply in the explosive area of zone 0 expand the range of applications for mobile gas detection technology.
The bright green LED ring can be seen from a distance to show that no dangerous or combustible gases are present. The LED’s colour changes from green to red when gas dangers are detected, giving off a crystal-clear visual alert when gas is present. A strong and audible evacuation alarm is also released. Gas can diffuse into the Dräger X-am 5000, 5100, or 5600 from all sides thanks to the Dräger X-zone 5800 gas entrance site.
A wireless fenceline can be created by automatically connecting up to 25 Dräger X-zone 5800 units. The area monitoring devices are connected, allowing for the quick creation of safety networks for bigger regions.
When a gas alert is detected, a Dräger X-zone 5800 sends the alarm signal to all linked units. Red/green flashing alarms of the connected units contrast with a red flashing master alert in the device that detects the gas. This makes it straightforward to identify the alarm status and the precise location of the danger. The highest gas concentration in the monitored area is displayed on the display with the corresponding configuration. A clear containment of the danger zone is available when used in conjunction with the display of the X-zone ID.
With the X-zone 5800, you have the choice of using the pump mode to draw gas from up to 30 metres away or the diffusion mode. It takes under a minute to move between these two possibilities. Just swap the included diffusion cover and the pump cover against one another. Without the use of any tools, the X-zone 5800 is prepared for another measuring operation.
